Location: University of Technology Delft, the Netherlands, Faculty of Architecture
Date: 7 – 11 October 2013
In October POLIS, the student association of the University of Technology in Delft, is organizing the third edition of the Urbanism Week. This yearly event is an attempt to strengthen the connections to the field of Urbanism by understanding its routes, practices and contemporary issues, while trying to find its future possibilities. In a five-day program Urbanism Week aims to form a platform for dialogue and discussion through a series of activities.

The Urbanism Week is a five-day program for students, starters and professionals, which will start with an introduction lecture on Monday 7 October. From 8 until 10 October lunch lectures will take place followed by various master classes, which will elaborate on the lunch lectures. These three days give students the opportunity to learn about the profession and orientate them at the start of their career.

The Urbanism Week will end with a symposium on Friday. This symposium will reflect on the topics which were addressed the previous days and key note speakers will lecture about the main theme: Designing Lifestyles: influences of big players on future cities. The day consists of lectures of key note speakers, a presentation of the Urbanism Alumni research, discussion and debate.
