The basic rules for the TU Delft house style

2. The font: Tahoma and Bookman Old Style

– Tahoma is the basic font for TU Delft and is used in correspondence and for the main body of text in printed matter.
– The serif typeface Bookman Old Style has been added for titles, headings, subheadings and quotes. Always using this typeface in a different (larger) format creates a recognisable style element within the house style.
– Both fonts are available as standard within Microsoft Office and are not subject to royalty payments. In LaTeX, the font Computer Modern Sans Serif.10 should be used.

3. The colours

The corporate colours are cyan, black and white. These are supplemented by an additional ten colours, all of which contain cyan. These colours may be used freely and cannot be claimed by specific faculties, subjects or target groups. The use of other colours is not allowed. To ensure an image that is as fresh and bright as possible, black should only be used for text boxes.
[#Translations for additional colours: Dark Green; Dark Blue; Purple; Fuchsia; Lavender; Green; Turquoise; Bright Green; Sky Blue; Sea Green]

4. The banner
The banner (or blue bar) is an identifiable linking element within the house style, serving as a visual anchor.
– The banner always appears on the front page and the back page of printed matter and in all PowerPoint presentations.
– The banner’s design is fixed and may not be amended or changed in any way.
– The banner contains the logo with descriptor and the slogan, presented in a set position.
– With the exception of the FSC logo on printed matter, no other texts, addresses or Internet addresses may be placed in the banner.
